What is the Series About?

Programming for Software Design & Development 26th April
This course is the first in a series of workshops aimed at developing perspectives on the teaching and learning in the HSC SDD and IPT courses. This particular workshop will focus on the programming concepts in the SDD course.

Participants will be presented with an overview of a range of programming environments in which projects may be developed. Some examples of project work will be given, along with consideration of constraints which may be imposed. Use of appropriate software for project development will also be considered.

Information Systems for SDD & IPT 5th June
This workshop provides an opportunity to examine the concepts of System Analysis and Design within the scope of the HSC SDD and IPT courses. It will lead through the elementary considerations of the preliminary courses to a more in-depth treatment, from an initial scope and environment consideration to development of system models.

Several examples will be presented to illustrate the importance of good system design, and participants will have an opportunity to discuss how students may be required to think creatively and analytically about these issues.
