German: Year 11 Speaking Skills

 

What is the Course About?

This course is designed to provide Year 11 students of German in independent schools with the opportunity to participate in planned HSC German Continuers Preliminary practice speaking tasks. Teachers of participating students will be expected to prepare a range of speaking tasks linked to outcomes and topics of the German Continuers' HSC NSW Board of Studies syllabus

How Will the Course Be Presented?

Teachers registering students to participate in this course will be contacted by the course coordinators to prepare tasks for the day. Teachers will be actively involved in discussing the requirements of the task with students. Students will participate in the tasks.

Outcomes of the Course:

As a result of participating in this course it is expected that teachers will gain:

  • skills in designing and implementing a range of speaking tasks linked to the topics;
  • insights on how well (performance standards) students perform across a range of tasks;
  • opportunities to discuss and debrief the requirements of the tasks with students.

$12 per participant including GST
This course is subsidised for teachers from independent schools through Commonwealth Priority Languages funds.
Cancellations should be in writing no later than one week prior to course to enable a refund.
Your registration will be confirmed by fax after closing date.
Certification: Certificates will be made available to all participants who fulfil the course requirements.

Please note: AIS Professional Development courses can be accumulated to apply for University accreditation.
