Annual AIS History Conference

What is the Conference About?

This one day conference is designed to assist teachers address assessment issues for outcomes based teaching and learning for History in Stages 4 and 5.

It will also provide the opportunity for teachers, in a workshop situation, to share ideas and hear about successful units of work and/or teaching strategies for teaching stages 4 and 5 History.

The conference will also examine ‘What is History’ as a basis for the teaching of History in Stages 4-6, including Extension History.

How Will the Conference Be Presented?  

The day will comprise a keynote address, workshops and a presentation on Assessment in Stages 4 and 5. 

 

Outcomes of the Conference:

As a result of participating in this course it is expected that teachers will gain:

  •     insight into outcomes based assessment procedures for stages 4 and 5 History;
  •     successful units of work and/or teaching strategies that can be adapted for their own use.

Certification: Certificates will be made available to all participants who fulfil the course requirements.
