These Study Days are offered to Year 12 students enrolled in 2 Unit Related and 3 Unit English. Each day is a full day program of workshops on HSC texts.

Texts to be covered will be advised in the AIS Newsletter in Term 2, 2001.
Please note that although AIS makes every effort to find a substitute, sudden misadventure may force the cancellation of a workshop.

Teachers interested in facilitating a workshop are invited to contact Ian Keast at Barker College on 9847 8399.

The workshops will be conducted by teachers experienced in the classroom and in HSC marking. The workshop format ensures that students engage actively with the texts, and provides an excellent opportunity for them to share and compare views with their peers.

As a result of participating in this day it is anticipated that students will gain:

• the stimulation of new ideas and approaches;
• practical activities designed to engage them directly with texts;
• a learning environment clearly focussed on literary values and the requirements of the exam.
